Network for successful women entrepreneurs
Dr Miklós Réthelyi Minister of National Resources held a speech at the 55th Session of the UN Commission for Women highlighting that the European Union last year has agreed on it's strategy for gender equality. This will be manifested in actions focusing on women education between 2010-2015. Ha has also drawn attention on the fact that women should be supported in becoming entrepreneurs by providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills. As an example the below project of SEED Foundation was also mentioned by the Minister.
The Committee of the European Union has launched the Network of Female Entrepreneurs in Hungary (NANNY) project in 2010 under the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme. The objective is to make successful women entrepreneurs support other women in starting up business through presenting theirselves as good examples. SEED Foundation is taking part in the development of the Hungarian network. The opening conference of the project shall be held on 28 April 2011 in Budapest. 12-days competence development trainings for women entrepreneurs in 2011
"Women striking out, Budapest Bank - About finances for women" is the name of the training programme run by SEED Foundation. The objective of the 12 days competence development training is to provide women with practical and theoretical knowledge in the field of enterprise operation - particularly finances - making them able to launch independently an own enterprise. The first training session was finished in June and another two trainings took place this Autumn in Budapest and Békéscsaba.

Changes in the management of SEED
The position of Executive Director is taken over by Tibor Balázs from 1 Jan 2011. Balázs was Board Member in the last 10 years providing him with a profound knowledge on the operation and the philosophy of the Foundation, giving him strong basis for launching work.
